Things may be looking quite different this festive season, but you don’t have to miss out on the tradition of pantomime.  Maybe you could even introduce some of your family and friends to the delights of online panto.

The National Theatre is offering a new version of the classic Dick Whittington which will be available for free on their YouTube channel from 3pm on the 23rd December until midnight on the 27th December.

Other theatres around the UK are also offering online pantomimes, one list can be accessed in the link below.  Many of these are being offered for free, but if you’d like to support your chosen theatre, you could do so by making a donation.

How can I help someone to do this?

You could talk through the list of available pantomimes together, or see if your local theatre is offering anything online.   You could help to organise the necessary link and maybe set up a zoom call to chat about it afterwards.

The National Theatre also provides an activity pack for Dick Whittington, this could be shared with other members of the family too.
