Opening Doors London is an organisation working with people over 50 in the LGBTQ+ community.  They are now running a series of online support groups for LGBTQ+ people living with dementia, and their carers.

These groups provide a safe and supportive space to discuss the daily challenges faced by those living with dementia and carers, while providing an opportunity to connect with one another, share experiences, offer mutual support and find solidarity.

Opening Doors London also runs a Telefriending service for people over 50 who identify as LGBTQ+ that feel lonely and isolated.  For more information about this service, you can visit the Opening Doors London befriending page.

How can I help someone to do this?

If you think the Opening Doors London website or Telefriending service might be useful for someone you know, you could give them a call and talk them through the details.
